Srinath University (SU) offers Ph.D. programmes under the guidelines prescribed by the University Grants Commission (2022) in the faculties of Commerce & Management, Computer Studies, Media & Communication, and Humanities & Social Sciences

The University predetermines the number of doctoral students that can be admitted to the programme based on the number of available research Supervisors.

The University aims to maintain high research standards, and with this goal in mind, and as per the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of PH.D Degrees) Regulations, 2016, SU follows specific criteria for the selection of Ph.D. students. All rules and guidelines related to the University’s Ph.D. Programmes are available in SU’s Ph.D. Rule Book.

To build a research culture, encourage knowledge generation, wealth creation, social mobilization, and an interdisciplinary approach, the University has made provisions for awarding Junior and Senior Research Fellowships.

Ph.D. Scholars’ research projects are supervised by Ph.D. Supervisors, who are full-time faculty members of SU and are recognized by the RRC (Research and Recognition Committee) of the respective Faculty as research Supervisors.

They supervise the work of the Ph.D. Scholar, who may be selected as SU’s Junior Research Fellow. Supervisors may recommend the inclusion of co-supervisors—experts in specific areas—to the Faculty RRC for approval. Deserving JRFs may also be offered a Senior Research Fellowship.
