B.A. in Kudmali (Honours)

The B.A. Kudmali (Honours) program aims to academically institutionalize the Kudmali or Haldi language, spoken across Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal. Students will explore Kudmali literature, folk expressions, grammar, phonology, and socio-linguistic dimensions while developing applicable real-world skills in translation, education, and media.

Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to the B.A. in Kudmali (Haldi) must have successfully completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. A minimum of 50% marks is required for candidates from General and OBC categories, while a relaxation is available for SC and ST candidates, who are eligible with 45% marks. Applicants with a background in tribal languages, humanities, or a strong interest in regional culture and linguistics are preferred.

Eligibility

Admission to the M.A. in Kudmali (Haldi) requires a Bachelor’s degree in Kudmali, tribal languages, literature, or any allied discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. A 5% relaxation in marks is offered to candidates from SC and ST categories. Applicants with academic or practical experience in tribal language promotion, cultural work, or education will be given preference.
