The Ph.D. in Engineering is a doctoral research program aimed at developing advanced knowledge, innovation, and analytical skills in various engineering disciplines. As per UGC regulations, the Ph.D. program has a minimum duration of three (3) years, including coursework, and a maximum duration of six (6) years. The duration includes the time required for research work, publication, and submission of the doctoral thesis.

1. The university registration fee, coursework examination fee, and final thesis submission fee must be paid separately in addition to the above installments as per the notifications issued.

2. Scholars are granted a one-year relaxation for thesis submission after completing three years from the start of the Ph.D. program. Beyond this period, the applicable fee will be charged as per the prescribed schedule.

 
Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. program in Engineering must fulfill the following criteria:

    • Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA) as per University/UGC norms.
    • Admission to the program is based on performance in the University Entrance Test followed by a Personal Interview.
    • Candidates who have qualified GATE/NET or equivalent national-level examinations with a valid scorecard are exempted from the University Entrance Test and are eligible to directly appear for the interview.
